Our territory in the plains is intensively cultivated for rice, corn and maize and it is for this very reason this region is crossed by a dense network of canals, waterways and irrigation ditches, constructed in past centuries, which are used to irrigate the fields.
The neighbouring roads, rural tracks and paths are infinite; these, together with the banks of the canals, enable close links between the hamlets, villages and farms.
By following the proposed routes on foot and by bicycle, we will guide you to discover our ancient villages and the feats of hydraulic engineering set up to work the irrigation systems which today are still indispensable for our agriculture.
